Hub II is Simon Gogerly’s new private mix and production studio, opened in December 2007. The idea behind the studio is that Simon can provide mixes of the highest quality without needing to use large, expensive studios with limited hours and unexpected extras. Although there is still a need for larger studios in some cases, greater numbers of projects require top quality results while facing greatly reduced budgets. Hub II has been designed to make it possible for Simon to work on these projects, keeping costs minimal while devoting as much time as necessary to keeping the standard at the top level.

Based around an SSL AWS900+ analogue/DAW console, Protools 7.4 HD2 Accel rig and high level acoustic design, Hub II is a state-of the-art facility and, in Simon’s capable and experienced hands, is already turning out great mixes.

Although Simon spends a large proportion of his time mixing he also does production and additional production on a number of projects. Consequently Hub II is equipped with a full separate Logic Pro 8 rig, instruments and a spacious vocal/overdub room. The studio’s proximity to High Barn Studios (www.high-barn.com) also gives Simon the facility to record on a larger scale.
